Game and Nature Reserves:
D'Nyala Nature reserve
This small but attractive reserve is located just 15km from the town. A series of gravel roads take visitors to a number of interesting view sites and waterholes overlooking the Tambotie River for game and bird viewing. The reserve is home to over 60 mammal species and some 300 bird species.
In addition there is a modern conference facility within the reserve providing a full service to delegates with the added advantage of being located within the tranquility of the park and the opportunities that this offers to delegates.
Moloko Dam
This scenic nature reserve was established to protect the environment surrounding the Mokolo Dam, one of the most important sources of water in the Western Waterberg. Numerous species of antelope and smaller game flourish in the Busveld, which is characteristic of the area. The Mokolo Dam is known as one of South Africa's prime angling destinations. Angling enthusiasts and birders will also enjoy the many opportunities. Facilities include a campsite, braai stands and ablution facilities.
